I am happy to announce that I am officially a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional!
I have been working as a Wealth Advisor for five years now, and during this time, I feel honored to have impacted many lives by helping individuals get their financial houses in order. I am confident that the CFP® marks will bring even more value to our current and future clients. There are 8 Principal Knowledge Topic categories (72 topic areas in total) I was required to master before sitting for the exam on March 12, 2021.
- Professional Conduct and Regulation
- General Principals of Financial Planning
- Education Planning
- Risk Management and Insurance Planning
- Investment Management
- Tax Planning
- Retirement Savings and Income planning
- Estate Planning
The CFP® credentials are referred to as the “Standard of Excellence.”*
The marks identifies those individuals who have met the rigorous experience and ethical requirements of the CFP Board of Standards, Inc., successfully completed financial planning coursework, and passed the CFP® Certification Examination.
In addition, CFP® professionals agree to meet continuing education requirements and uphold the CFP Board’s Code of Ethics and Professional Responsibility, Rules of Conduct and Financial Planning Practice Standards.
A recent CFP® Board study revealed that 81% of consumers prefer an advisor who takes all areas of their financial life into account.*
It is a common misconception that only high-net-worth people (over $1 million in investable assets) need to hire a CFP® professional. In fact, I believe every person could benefit from consulting with a CFP® professional. By taking steps today to get your financial house in order, we can help clients set themselves up for long term success that compounds year after year.
At TVAMP, we provide options in how we charge for our services:
- Percentage fee based on assets under management
- One-time financial planning fee
- Monthly retainer
My education does not stop here.
To continue advancing my knowledge and keep my CFP® certificate valid, I will be complete 30 hours per year of continuing education requirements, as well as committing to the CFP Board’s ethical standards that require me to put our clients’ interests first.
Working with TVAMP can help you take the stress out of managing your finances.
Josh adds to our team of five CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional at TVAMP in Knoxville, TN. Our team is committed to continuing our education so we can provide you with the most strategic advice. Contact us today for an introductory conversation.
