Some anniversaries are worth stopping to mark properly.

This year, three members of our team hit milestones that don’t come around often: Lisa Wyrick (25 years), Brenda Shepherd (29 years), and Allyson Phillips (25 years). The three are part of our client service team who have been part of the TVAMP story longer than the firm itself has carried its current name.

Before TVAMP Was TVAMP

Before there was a TVAMP, our founders were financial advisors building their practice inside a larger firm. Lisa, Brenda, and Allyson were part of the support system around them: handling the calls, solving the problems, and creating the kind of client experience that people actually remembered. Over time, the professional relationship became something with more weight to it. There was deep trust, shared values, and a growing conviction that clients deserved something better than what the traditional model offered.

A Different Kind of Decision

When the founders decided to step away and build something independent, they didn’t do it alone. Lisa, Brenda, and Allyson made the same call… And left the security of an established firm for something that had no guarantee of working out. No safety net, no proven roadmap. Just a belief in the people they’d worked alongside and in what those people were trying to build.

That’s not a small thing. It’s easy to follow someone when success is already visible. It’s something else entirely to go first.

What They’ve Built Since

The years that followed shaped everything. Lisa and Brenda became the steady, trusted presence that clients have come to rely on… often the first voice someone hears when something feels uncertain, and the follow-up that makes sure nothing slips through the cracks. That kind of consistency is harder to maintain than it looks, and clients notice.

Lisa, Brenda, and Allyson have watched clients’ families grow up, seen financial plans play out across decades, and been present for the moments (big and quiet both) that make this coming to work every day mean something.

In 2024, Allyson built on her decades of experience by pursuing additional training and earn the Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional™ (FPQP®) designation. Today, she supports clients through the planning process as a Service Advisor.

Why It Matters

Tenure numbers are easy to cite. What’s harder to put into words is what those years represent: the trust clients place in the people who answer their calls, the institutional knowledge that can’t be onboarded, and the culture that gets carried forward not through documents but through how people show up every day.

Lisa, Brenda, and Allyson didn’t just join a firm that was already built. They were part of building it. TVAMP is better for our clients, our team, and our future because they said yes when it wasn’t the easiest choice.

We’re so grateful and we think the clients who’ve worked with them over the years understand why better than anyone.

What started as a working relationship has turned into a friendship that has carried them through every chapter. “I don’t think of them [Brenda and Allyson] as ‘co-workers.’ They’ve become my true friends and I’m blessed I get to work with them everyday.” – Lisa Wyrick
