With 20 years of experience in the financial industry, Rob channels his deepest values of family and friendship into his advising practice. He loves to see clients pursue their financial goals, whether that’s sending a child to school, purchasing a new home, or planning for a comfortable retirement. He invests time with his clients because he believes relationships are important factor in crafting their custom financial plan.
Rob earned his B.A. from Furman University with a double major in History and Political Science. Later, he completed a Master of Environmental Management (M.E.M.) from Duke University focusing on Resource Economics and Policy. After college, Rob worked for an engineering management services firm in Oak Ridge. In the late 90’s, he made a slight career change, and began working in the personal finance field.
Rob enjoys utilizing his project management experience to help individuals. Being a wealth advisor involves planning and organizing, including consideration of money and time available. He says, “for each client, I examine their risk tolerance and cost benefit analysis, keep in mind the economy and the markets, then work out the logistics of deploying their comprehensive financial plan and investment strategy. Working with numbers is something I’ve always enjoyed!” At the close of 2016, Rob joined our team to pursue his dreams of being independent. He believes he can better serve clients at TVAMP.
In his free time, Rob enjoys reading, biking, and watching movies. He loves gathering with friends and cooking for them- seafood boils, fish frys, and barbeque. He’s lived in several cities around the Southeast during his life including Norfolk, Durham, Alpharetta, Greenville, and even Washington, D.C. However, Knoxville is his favorite! It’s home sweet home to Rob and his wife, Sarah, and two children, Ethan and Lily.
